Chapter 1: The Laziest Fox in the Forest
In a big, green forest, there lived a very lazy fox named Felix. While other animals worked hard, Felix spent his days napping under trees and dreaming about food.
“I wish food would come to me,” Felix sighed. “Hunting is so tiring!”
One hot afternoon, Felix was wandering (slowly, of course!) when he found a strange-looking rock. It was round, shiny, and had tiny cracks all over it. As Felix stared, the rock suddenly spoke“Hello, Fox!” the rock said in a deep voice.
Felix jumped back. “Y-Y-You can talk?!”
“Yes,” said the rock. “And I can grant wishes!”
Felix’s eyes grew wide. A magical talking rock?! This was his lucky day!
“I wish for a big, juicy chicken!” Felix said, licking his lips.
POOF! A delicious roasted chicken appeared in front of him. Felix gobbled it up in seconds.
“This is amazing!” he laughed. “I’ll never have to hunt again!”
But the rock only chuckled. “Be careful what you wish for…”
Felix didn’t listen. He was too busy thinking of more wishes!

Chapter 2: The Rock’s Tricks Begin
The next morning, Felix ran back to the magical rock.
“I wish for ten fish!” he said.
POOF! Ten fish appeared… but they were ALIVE! They flopped and jumped everywhere. Felix chased them for hours, but they all escaped into the river!
“Hmm,” Felix grumbled. “Maybe I should be more specific.”
The next day, Felix said, “I wish for a basket full of grapes.”
POOF! A basket appeared—but it was filled with sour, green grapes! Felix took a bite and his face scrunched up like a lemon!
“BLEH! These taste awful!” he cried.
The rock laughed. “You didn’t say ‘sweet’ grapes!”
Felix frowned. “This rock is tricky… but I’m smarter!”

Chapter 3: The Wish That Went Wrong
Felix decided he needed to be very clear with his next wish.
“I wish for a HUGE pile of sweet, fresh, juicy, roasted chickens… right in front of me!” he said proudly.
POOF!
A giant MOUNTAIN of roasted chickens appeared! Felix’s eyes sparkled. So much food! He ran up the pile to eat, but—
“AHHHH!”
The chickens rolled down like an avalanche, burying him! Felix was trapped under the pile, with only his tail sticking out.
“Mmph! Help!” he cried.
The rock laughed so hard, it almost cracked in half.

Chapter 4: Felix Learns His Lesson
It took all day for Felix to dig himself out. He was tired, sweaty, and covered in chicken feathers!
“This isn’t fun anymore,” Felix groaned. “Maybe… I should stop being lazy.”
The magical rock chuckled. “Now you understand, Fox! Hard work makes food taste better.”
Felix thought about it. The wishes gave him food, but they also made him work in silly ways.
From that day on, Felix started hunting again—but just a little. He still took naps, but now, he worked hard before resting.
And the talking rock? Well, it never granted another wish… but sometimes, it still laughed when Felix walked by.
Moral of the story: Hard work always pays off!
